Kernow Lighthouse is a partnership delivering swimming lessons and swim coaching to adults and children. This document explains how we use your personal date we collect from you when you use our website or sign up with us and complete our registration forms.
What data do we collect?
We collect your name and address, email address, telephone numbers, emergency contact telephone number, medical information that may be relevant to the activity. We may also request your permission to take images for publicity purposes to use on our website or social media.

We will collect your data by means of paper forms, by voluntary use of our social media, via email, or by means of completion of an online registration form via our website.
How we will use your data.
We will use your data (together with information about the child if applicable) to contact you for administration of participation in any swimming activities that we provide. We will also use contact information in the event of an emergency for a person or persons under our care.

The information you provide will be stored in a secure file on a secure laptop. The original paperwork will be shredded. Messages and emails will be held on the platforms to which they were sent. All information will be held for a maximum of 18 months to allow for re-registation. After this time your data will be destroyed.
In the event of a medical emergency or safeguarding issue, Kernow Lighthouse may disclose relevant information to medical professionals, emergency services, child protections services, the Police, courts and potentially other professional people or bodies involved in an investigation.
As a person who has completed the form you must be legally entitled to act for the subject of the form and must ensure that each person whose information that you include knows what will happen to their information and how it may be disclosed.
